Five Minutes on Mike Duffy and the $90000 Cheque – Part 1

In today’s video blog, which I envisage as being Part 1 of 4, I’m taking a look at the charges against Mike Duffy relating to the infamous $90000 cheque provided by Nigel Wright.  This blog focuses on issues likely to arise when the Crown attempts to prove one of the three charges brought in relation to that cheque, specifically: s. 121(1)(c), which alleges that Mike committed a fraud against the government in taking the cheque.

  1. This is great, thank you! I hope you also touch on why the crown would deem that accepting the cheque was fraud, or a bribe, but giving it was not, I.e no charges for Wright and the other involved in the payment.
